Just Cause 3 Review / Breakdown

Hi and welcome to the Just Cause 3 Breakdown / Review. It’s been a while since I posted and I am glad to be diving back into the world of gaming and in these posts I breakdown the games and give you my thoughts and feelings about the games after I have finished playing them.

This game was announced on November 11, 2014, and was released December 1, 2015

  • Hitman

What Platform Is It On

This game is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

What Genre Is It In

Just Cause 3 is an open-world action-adventure game.

What Game Engine Does It Run

Just Cause 3 runs an improved version of the Avalanche Engine that was used in Just Cause 1 & 2

What’s The Story About

The story starts six years after the events of Just Cause 2, and you play as mercenary Rico Rodriguez who is returning to his home of Medici to find that his presence is needed because Medici has fallen under a dictatorship of General Sebastiano Di Ravello. Rico sets out to overthrow Ravello and becomes part of a resistance group led by Rico’s old friend Mario Frigo.

The Second ally that you meet in the game after saving Mario’s forces from being completely wiped out is Dimah al-Masri, the scientist who creates all your gadgets and weapons. Dimah tells you that Di Ravello has been mining a mineral that has remarkable properties called Bavarium, and he is going to use it to make almost indestructible tanks and other weapons.

After Rico manually manoeuvres a missile off course and sends it to Di Ravello’s command base on the southern islands. Ravello is not happy and orders a small fleet to go and kill Mario and Dimah, but Rico destroys the fleet and in the process meets two new allies, Annika and Teo.

Rosa Manuela then comes out of hiding when Di Ravello forces are beaten back and forms a government opposed to his regime. Dimah sacrifices herself and takes all the information about Bavarium enhanced weapons with her. After the big boss battle at the end Rosa becomes President and Medici becomes a free place once again.

What’s The Gameplay Like

The world size is 400 square miles which is comparable to Just Cause 2, and the gameplay is fun after i figured out what I needed to do to proceed and there is plenty of things that you can blow up and enough things to do to keep you happy if that’s your thing and the damage that you can take is hugely forgiving, and you almost have to be standing still to take any significant damage before you die. I found that after the first couple of missions, it becomes super repetitive and is a grind to free all the provinces by destroying the same structures over and over again.

The travelling in helicopters is slow and takes forever to get anywhere and is comparable to pulling teeth until you upgrade your helicopter to the military one with big missile pods on the side and then it speeds up a little. Driving in the game is ok, not great and if you pass through a checkpoint, you usually come out the other side with some new friends who just become annoying if you have a long way to travel. I found the best way to travel without to much hassle is by using the grapple in combination with the wingsuit and the parachute and you can get to most places with ease.

Weapons and gadgets and transport are abundant, and if you run out of ammo you can just call in supples without a hassle, and I never felt as if I was ever in danger of dying because of a lack of ammo or equipment and some people will like that support and over will not and want more of a challenge.

What Type Of Resources Are In The Game

In the game, there are no resources that you need to collect or produce to allow you to move forward in the game.

Equipment In The Game

UVK – 13 is a regular rocket launcher, it shoots a single rocket. Especially effective against light armoured combat vehicles.

Fire Leech RPG allows you to target few targets at which eight small rockets are then shot. This weapon is perfect against a larger group of enemies or medium-sized military vehicle or group.

CAPSTONE HYDRA is a launcher that allows you to fire five missiles at once. This weapon is excellent for eliminating helicopters and tanks. It makes destroying large objects in military bases much more manageable.

CS NEGOTIATOR It’s a regular grenade launcher, suitable for eliminating few enemies at once. It will also be useful when facing light armoured combat vehicles and when destroying ordinary military objects.

UPU-210 is a more powerful version of the earlier grenade launcher above. This launcher shoots six missiles at once. Due to this, it is very effective against combat vehicles and in destroying more substantial objects.

USV-45 SOKOL is a sniper rifle that allows you to take down targets from far away. This is the weapon of choice for situations when you cannot get to someplace, and you must eliminate the target/enemy from a distance.

CS110 ARCHANGEL is a more robust version of the sniper rifle above. It has a smaller recoil. It allows you to shoot from a long distance. This is a deadly weapon and perfect for destroying far away, medium-sized objects in cities or military bases.

There is a lot of transportation options for you to choose from like Planes, jets, helicopters and boats, these vehicles come in all different shapes and sizes, and some are loaded with weapons and others are not.

The main pieces of equipment you will use in the game is the grapple, parachute and wingsuit.

Replayability

I believe if you want to play this game again, there is replay value here and it will take you a while to complete it again, but I feel like after you have completed the game, there is no reason to go back and play it again because it’s a complete grind.

A Nice Little Feature

I say that the coolest little feature of this game is the way you call in supplies and it drops from the sky in a shipping container and bursts open. I wish all my packages arrived that way.

Difficulty levels

There are no difficulty settings in Just Cause 3, so everyone has to play on the same difficulty, but things do get harder towards the end of the game.

Enemy types

The Medici Military is your main enemy as you play through this game you will come to see all the different levels of the Military. The ranks start at Classe private and then progress to Sargent, Commandante
Classe tirators selectionate.

When you are just walking around exploring, the Medici Military have been given orders to respond to you with force. If they spot you, then the first wave usually is just a couple of hummers with a few men in each of them. If you destroy them, then they increase their alert level and start to send in tanks and helicopters and more men to try and attack you.

luckily the AI is dumb, and you can lose these guys pretty quickly without much effort or just stick around to keep the party going and have a little fun just remember your ammo is not unlimited and requesting a drop in the middle of a battle is sometimes harder then you think if you got guys always firing at you.

Is It Single-player Or Multiplayer

This game is a single-player game.

How Long Is The Game

The main story of the game will take about 17h 23m but if you are not in a rush and want to play the game till you get that 100% complete then you are looking at about 60h 47m.

How Much Is The Game

You can pick this game up from Amazon for £12.99 for Xbox one or £15.51 for PlayStation 4, or if you’re a PC gamer, it’s £9.99.

My Thoughts About The Game

Just Cause 3 is a game that is fun to play for a couple of hours but really takes some dedication if you want to complete it, with a lack of difficulty options and almost god-like abilities to resist damage getting shot by a rocket is not dangerous it just becomes annoying when it tosses you around the map. On the whole, I think that it’s not a bad game I personally didn’t like the game towards the end because it just needs something to break up that relentlessness of doing the same thing over and over again to free your people. But if you have a couple of hours to kill and are looking for a lot of mindless destruction then take Just Cause 3 for a spin just don’t get your hopes up. CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT JUST CAUSE 3

Squad Conquest Returns To Battlefield 5

Yes, That’s right one of my favourite game modes on Battlefield 5 is coming back to the Battlefield 5 rotation on April 25, 2019, definitely a date for the dairy if you’re a battlefield fan.

So, If you didn’t get a chance to play Squad Conquest last time it was in the rotation I bet you’re wondering what it is?

This mode is a small fast paced 8v8 player match where two teams compete against each other to capture and hold on to three main flags and try and run out the other sides respawn points. There is also access to one tank for each team, supported properly they can dominate and keep the other team pinned down for the duration of the round. (I have seen it happen and experienced it first hand)

Last time Squad Conquest was around, there were only three maps available which were, Arras, Hamada and Rotterdam the maps worked well with Rotterdam being my favourite (My K/D went sky high playing on Rotterdam). The problem was because of the limited number of maps it got repetitive quite quickly, but there are plans for new maps to be added this time around so hopefully, Dice will give us some great new maps and breath a bit of freshness into the mode. I don’t mind waiting just make more, but For now, we just got to stick with the same maps as last time.

The Maps

Arras battlefield 5
Arras
Rotterdam
Rotterdam
Hamada
Hamada

Hamada on normal conquest mode is not a map I enjoy playing on, but on Squad Conquest it’s scaled down and plays nicely. I really enjoyed my time playing last time, and I’m looking forward to jumping in and playing a few rounds this time. And just for people who don’t know this mode is free to play.

Metro Last Light Review / Breakdown

So after playing metro 2033, I was pumped and was looking forward to playing more of the metro series. So that’s exactly what I did. Metro Last Light released in 2013 and still enjoyable to play in 2019, so that gets into it.

Metro last light logo

Who Made The Game?

Developer:

4A Games was founded in 2006 by Andrew Prokhorov, Oles Shyshkovtsov, Alexander Maximchuk. Who left GSC Game World and now has two studios with its headquarters in Sliema, Ukraine and the second in Kiev, also in Ukraine.

Publishers:

Deep Silver was founded in 2002 and is a multinational video game developer and publisher based in Basingstoke, United Kingdom, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of German multinational corporation Koch Media. And is best known for games like the Dead Island series, Saints Row series, and the sequel to Homefront.

What platform is it on?

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One

Genre:

First-person shooter survival horror.

What Game Engine Does It Run?

The game runs the 4A Engine developed by 4A Games for the Metro Games and is a graphics middleware engine, and it supports Direct3D APIs 9, 10, 11, 12, OpenGL 3.2, along with NVidia’s PhysX, and also NVidia’s 3D Vision.

What’s The Story About?

Metro Last Light takes place in 2034 one year later after the events of the first game and is a direct sequel to Metro 2033. The story takes off from the missile strike at the end of the first game. You play as Artyom now a ranger and struggling with the decision of killing The Dark Ones. You find out that there is a single Dark One still left alive. And are sent on a mission to eliminate it and finish this thing once and for all. But it doesn’t go to plan. (Trying not to give to much away)

You learn more about the Dark Ones in Last Light and understand what Artyom’s role is and why they can speak to him. You also learn more about other factions within the metro and feels like a real world with lots of things going on.

What’s The Gameplay Like?

The gameplay is the same as Metro 2033 just with added improvements to gameplay mechanics and introduces elements such as weapon customisation. One thing that is critical in Metro games is scavenging, and with areas in Last Light being bigger than Metro 2033 there is more to explore.

There are many different ways that the game pulls you into the world and adds that level of immersion that I am always looking for. Diary entries, written by Artyom himself make the world seem more significant and more vast and the freedom to utilise different tactics to combat enemies that you don’t feel like your being restricted.

Stealth in this game is funny because as long as you are in the shadows. The human enemies have no clue where you are, even if you are standing in front of them or just run around the corner, shadows are your friends but as soon as you put one toe in the light area’s they are on you without hesitation. So turning off oil lamps and light bulbs is an obligation if you want to make it through some areas without firing a shot.

What Type Of Resources Are In The Game?

The resources haven’t changed from Metro 2033, and you still got your trusty lighter to burn them cobwebs away and a wind-up torch for seeing where you’re going, and ammunition is still the currency of the game, and the quest for gas mask filters and health packs continues.

Equipment In The Game

  1. Shotguns, automatic machine guns, a pistol and a rifle. Can all be brought from shops in the game.
  2. Gas masks, if yours gets damaged in combat, you can find new ones laying around or take them of dead bodies.
  3. A flashlight that needs to be charged and the more you charge it, the brighter it gets.
  4. Health packs can be found laying around.
  5. A lighter that you can use to burn cobwebs and doesn’t run out of gas.
  6. throwing knives, claymores, incendiary grenades, and hand grenades also a compass to tell you where to go.

The customisation of weapons is functional doesn’t have a whole lot to choose from but the things you can attach to your weapons works and doesn’t make the guns to powerful.

Replayability

The only replay value in this game is two different endings and playing the game on a harder difficulty level on a different mode.

A Nice Little Feature

Nothing stood out for me in this game don’t get me, wrong I loved the game, but it was more of the same which I enjoyed but nothing groundbreaking. I still think that being able to wipe the dirt and blood off of your mask is the best little detail of the metro series so far.

Difficulty Levels

There are standard difficulty levels like Easy, Normal and Hardcore. Also, there are Three modes:

Survival: has scarce ammo, slower reload, analogue clock, smarter AI.

Spartan: has faster reloads and aiming and more plentiful supplies.

Ranger mode: (DLC) removes HUD and lowers hp of all enemies and you.

Enemy Types

There is no shortage of mutants for you to kill in this game and even a few new ones that don’t appear in metro 2033 if i am not mistaken.

If you are not fighting mutants, then you will spend the rest of your time either being captured by or fighting Red Line and the Fourth Reich who are the two main forces in the game.

Is It Single Player Or Multiplayer?

Only single player. With NO multiplayer option.

How Long Is The Game?

9h 49m for the main story and much more if you try out the different modes and difficulties.

How Much Is The Game?

£15.99 on PS4, Xbox One and £ 7.45 for PC, it’s Not going to break the bank, and I think £15.99 for a game that came out in 2013 isn’t a bad price.

My Thoughts About The Game

I enjoyed the stealth in Last Light way more than I did in Metro 2033, but the gameplay was still amazing in both games. Maybe it was me, but I found that there were more surface levels which I found more challenging because of the gas mask filters giving me hardly any time on them maybe just my luck. (I hate them gas mask filters lol) but enjoyed the game but didn’t get that same buzzy I got when I completed the first one, but I did love the part near the end of last light where you have to defend D6 in an all-out attack. Apple Arcade Gaming Subscription Service

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE APPLE’S IT’S SHOWTIME EVENT

It seems to me every big company these days is taking a stab at there version of gaming subscription service because they don’t want to be left out and every company seems to be following the trend after Microsoft has done their games pass. At its March 25th “It’s Showtime” event Apple announced a foray into game subscriptions and here’s what I know.

Apple Arcade will bundle over 100 new and exclusive games. All of the games will be ad-free and will not include any in-app purchases. These games are not going to be triple AAA games like you will get on the other gaming platforms like Xbox One, PS4, and PC they are not going to be using cutting edge graphics but the graphics are not going to be poor quality either.

Apple says these games will be high quality with a focus on simplicity and exclusivity and will be family-friendly across the board. They also believe that with Apple Arcade there will be a significant number of games that will only be made because of this platform.

Apple Arcade will help solve the problem of discovering high-quality games which is a problem on the app store because of the size of it and how many crap mobile games there is out there.

When Will It Be Released And How Much Is It?

The three burning questions on my mind when a new service comes out is, does it look any good? When’s it out? And how much is it going to cost me?, if I do decide I want it. The details are fuzzy when it comes to answering those questions but what I do know is it’ll launch sometime this
Autumn in over 150 regions, and there has not been a price announced yet. And if you are an arcade game fan, then it might appeal to you because of the promised high-quality games that you can’t play anywhere else.

But like google stadia they don’t want to be too greedy because there is a lot of competition from other gaming subscription services.

Who’s On Board

Apple has signed deals with the likes of Disney, Gameloft, SEGA, LEGO, and Konami for the bundle. And has got some highly regarded game developers such as Hironobu Sakaguchi and Ken Wong to get them off to a strong start.

How Are They Different?

You always want to know (What Make You Different?) and the difference is I guess apple arcade will not be a streaming service and will not be a standalone app but will have its tab along the bottom bar of the App Store app alongside the general Games tab. And each subscription supports Family Share, allowing up to six people to play on the same account). Their games will be downloadable for offline play unlike google stadia, which is good news for people with a poor internet connection.

A Cool Little Feature I like.

Apple Arcade will be playable across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. But the thing I think is cool is that you can access your game you were playing on your Ipad and carry on that same game on your iPhone without having to start the game from scratch so all devices are linked and it doesn’t matter where you start a game or even finish a game.

Is There A Controller

With google stadia bringing its controller out that looks surprisingly like the PS4 controller. Apple specifically says “many games will offer support for game controllers. I don’t think it will be their primary focus.

The Games That Have Been Confirmed So Far Are?

The Artful Escape
Atone: Heart Of The Elder Tree
Beyond A Steel Sky
The Bradwell Conspiracy
Cardpocalypse
Doomsday Vault
Down in Bermuda
Enter The Construct
Fantasian
Frogger In Toy Town
Hitchhiker
Hot Lava
Kings Of The Castle
LEGO Arthouse / LEGO Brawls
Lifelike
Monomals
Mr. Turtle
No Way Home
Oceanhorn 2: Knights Of The Lost Realm
Overland
The Pathless
Projection: First Light
Repair
Sayonara Wild Hearts
Shantae 5
Sneaky Sasquatch
Spidersaurs
Team Sonic Racing
UFO On Tape: First Contact
Where Cards Fall
Winding Worlds
Yaga

My Final Thoughts

If you are a fan of arcade style / retro games and want more high-quality mobile games experience and have not brought a Nintendo switch, then it might be worth a look. Personally, I am not a big mobile gamer and will not be using the service. But might be great for people who are addicted to mobile games or want an arcade / retro game fix. The only downside I can think of is that if you are only interested in one or two games, you still have to sign up for the full service because the games included in Apple Arcade will not be available outside of the bundle.

World War Z The Game

World War Z the game releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16., published by Focus Home Interactive and developed by Saber Interactive. Here is everything you need to know about world war z. The game is a third-person shooter that has been in development for the last three years and was first announced in December 2017 at the game awards.

Who is Saber Interactive?

They are an American video game developer founded in 2001 by Andrey Iones, Matthew Karch and Anton Krupkin and Matthew Karch is the CEO of the company. They have worked on such titles as Halo, Quake Champions, TimeShift to name a few games. They have grown to a company of 450 people spread across four studios and offices and are an independent developer. To be perfectly honest I had never heard about them until this game.

Looks Surprisingly Good.

Usually, when I see a game of a movie, the first thing I think is it’s probably going to be crap, and I am not going to waste my money on that, and I carry on with rest of my day, and usually, I’m right.
BUT this looks different. I watched the trailer, and I was hooked it looks epic and if you haven’t seen the trailer yet CLICK HERE TO WATCH IT. Yes, Saber does carry the license from the popular Paramount Pictures but has said that they are only using it as a way to get the game recognised because they do not have a boatload of cash to put behind a game that nobody has ever heard of.

So, no you will not see Brad Pitt in the game, but they are drawing inspiration from the film, and the book To try and bridge the gap between the two and keep people on both sides happy.

So What Is The Swarm Engine?

So basically when the developers were trying to replicate the fast-moving zombies that are in the film, they couldn’t make any of the current engines handle a screen full of zombies without the graphic’s going down the toilet and making the game run super slow.

So, Saber took it upon themselves to instead built a new engine from the ground up. Which is nice to see they didn’t just use an engine that they modified from something else, and they cared about the gameplay enough to make The Swarm Engine which is purposefully constructed to handle up to 500 zombies on the screen at one time. With this new engine, it gives the zombies a hive mind intelligence allowing them to span gaps and make huge pyramids of zombies as they do in the film with no regard for their wellbeing. They were not too happy to see that Sony was promoting a similar swam like engine in the new title Days Gone.

Is This Going To Be The Next Left 4 Dead?

The developers are fans of left 4 dead games, which I loved and played the hell out of them games. So with no more left 4 dead games in the pipeline, Saber designed each level with a strong focus on team play just like left 4 dead but with a more strategic style of gameplay and less run gun shoot every zombie you see (apart from the witches) type of game.

The developers have said that they want World War Z to be an evolution of left 4 dead games which I have no problem with that what so ever.

So What’s The Game Going To Be Like?

The game is broken down into four episodes which span multiple locations which are: Jerusalem, Moscow, New York and Tokyo with a group of four unique survivors. Each location has three levels that tell the story of how these survivors came together. The campaign is Co-op story-driven More episodes are planned after launch.

Resources in the game.
Saber was not interested in making a scarce resource environment because of the overwhelming number of zombies you will be faced with so instead has gone with a rich resource environment. You can also generate in-game currency by performing well in missions.

Replayability.
So if you are looking for replay value, all equipment drops and obstacles are randomised each playthrough, and they have even recorded four variables of each line of dialogue for the characters to keep the game fresh.

A nice little feature
Which I like is the melee weapons are assigned to the right bumper button, (I think it would be the same on both consoles), and you don’t have to equip it through a weapon inventory menu so that you can keep up with the face-paced gameplay.

Difficulty Levels
They are going to be five difficulty levels. As you get more skilled with the game or you don’t think it is challenging enough as you up the levels, friendly fire becomes more damaging.

Equipment In The Game
There are going to be defence kits and machine gun turrets and mortars to help you deal with the hordes.

Each class has a set of perks, and weapons have a progression path, and new versions of each gun.

Special Enemies Types
They have used their love for left 4 dead to create the special zombies which are:
Lurkers, which pin players to the ground.

Bulls, charge into the group and deal massive damage.

Screamers, attract more enemies to the location.

Hazmats, drop stink bombs that drain health.

Character Classes

gunslinger, classic assault class

The fixer, is a support role

the medic is the healing class

The Hellraiser is a demolitionist

the exterminator is all about crowd control. Is capable of setting traps.

The Slasher is the melee-focused, stealth class

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE CLASSES IN ACTION

The Online multiplayer
Eight-player competitive multiplayer in five different modes.
These five modes in total covering all the team shooter standards, including king of the hill and team deathmatch.

Also, they are not leaving zombies out of the player vs player modes, so it’s PVP with zombies.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE PVP WITH ZOMBIES TRAILER

How Much Is The Game?
Now, this is usually the question on peoples minds after the first question, Is it any good? Instead of releasing for £39.99, the game will cost you £34.99 to pre-order on consoles, and pc pre-orders are £31.99 through the Epic Store. If you do pre-order, you will get the Lobo weapons pack on all platforms which include:

  • Lobo Melee Weapon
  • Golden ARK-103 Assault Rifle
  • Golden Keris V10 SMG
  • Golden 1911 Protector

My Thoughts About The Game
If the game can deliver what I have seen in the trailer and is left 4 dead but better, I’m already sold, and I am going to pre-order on Xbox One, and I may even record some gameplay clips to share on Youtube.

X Rocker Gaming Chair Review

So I recently brought the x rocker gaming chair after my last chair would no longer adjust in height and all the black leather effect was peeling off. I had the chair for a few years, and it served me well R.I.P, but it wasn’t a gaming chair, so I thought it was time for an upgrade I had always wanted a gaming chair but always thought they were overpriced for a chair after all how much better are they?

But I needed a chair, so I looked for a stylish but practical gaming chair that wasn’t going to bankrupt me. So after a day of searching, I decided on the x rocker gaming chair from Argos it was a £130.

So I drove to the store to pick it up luckily it was in stock. I picked up a friend on my way home, and as soon as I got back my friend and I unboxed it and made sure that we had all the pieces and then we started to assemble it.

I started to attach the arms of the chair with the Allen key with a flat head screwdriver on the end which came with the chair. Bits of the material covered the holes where the bolts were meant to go, so I had to put a lot of force to get the bolts to go in correctly.

My friend put together the base of the chair while I was fixing the arms to the chair. The hardest part was putting the back on I had to get my friend to hold the back of the chair while I tried to line up the holes and then force the bolts in and get them to screw in because the material was partly covering the holes on the side of the chair as well.

After we did that, we attached the lower back cushion and the neck support cushion and then attached it to the base, and we finished up by just putting in a few little screws to put the side covers on, and the job was done. If you do buy this chair make sure you get someone to help you put the back on otherwise you are going to struggle I’m lucky my friend was with me.

The Things I Like About The Chair.

  1. It looks cool with the racing style.
  2. The adjustable arms move up and down but also move in so that you can rest your arms if you are in the heat of an intense game, the best part about the chair I think.
  3. The Adjustable backrest.
  4. the leather and stitching is nice and feels good quality.

The Things I Don’t Like About The Chair.

  1. Assembly was made harder by the material not cut away properly from the bolt holes.
  2. The bottom part of the chair where you put your butt isn’t as comfortable as I thought it would be, it’s very firm but again not a huge deal I’m used to a softer chair, and it comes down to personal preference, and the chair will change over time.

So my final word about the chair is it’s good all round product I am happy with what I got for the money I spent. It is much better than my old chair, make sure you have someone to help you with the tricky bit and should last me for few more years.

If You want to take a look at the chair this is not an affiliate link and i have not been paid to do this review CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE CHAIR.

The Console Killer Is Coming – Google Stadia

Yes, according to google the next generation of gaming is not a box; it’s any device that can run the Chrome browser.

The behemoth that is Google is taking a stab at the gaming market and is looking to shake things up with there Stadia platform and get Microsoft and Sony Worried and maybe even loosen there grip on the world of gaming.

So What Makes Stadia Different.

The real thing that sets stadia apart from other gaming platforms is there is not going to be any physical hardware that you will have to buy. It will be a streaming service for all your triple-A games, and they handle all the hardware requirements and stream you the 4k 60fps seamlessly to your device.

Well, that’s what’s meant to happen, there is not an enormous amount of detail about stadia. Like the big question, how much is it going to cost? But there is a controller which looks a lot like the ps4 controller just white, and the buttons are named different things but basically do the same things as any other gaming controller. It must be a winning design for Google to copy Sony.

Google Stadia Controller

Two features that interest me

The google assistant and Youtube integration. From the trailer, if you are stuck on a part of the game that you can’t seem to figure out, then you can ask the google assistant without leaving the game and it will show you How to get a particular item or escape a room and find out what you need to know and then carry on with the game, sounds to good to be true, but if it works like they said it would be amazing. And it could be a reason why people use the platform over others.

The other feature is the heavy Youtube integration with a button on the stadia controller that can send game clips straight to Youtube. And if you are live streaming a game and your viewers decide the game looks good and want to play it they can jump right in from the point they were watching from and will not have to start from the beginning. That’s cool AS HELL !!! You can watch the trailer here.

Netflix is more than a company name.

It feels like the word Netflix means more than just a company name these days, as you hear the term Netflix of games thrown around all over the place and people are wanting a vast selection of content for a low monthly price. It will be interesting to find out the price point of stadia because Google needs to be very careful not to price themselves out of the market because the Xbox one games pass is only £7.99 a month and the Playstation now service is £12.99 per month.

The lag could suck the fun out of it.

Lag is the worst thing in a game end of conversation, Nah only joking but it sucks BIG TIME and is the enemy of the gamer, and there is massive concern that stadia will not live up to the promise of seamless gaming on any device. People that played on the stadia platform demo at the (Game Developers Conference) GDC say that the lag was noticeable when playing the faster-paced doom and resulted in a few unwanted deaths but wasn’t noticeable when playing the slower assassins creed odyssey game. Google has there work cut out for them to bring a smooth, fast-paced shooter to the platform.

Only time will tell when Google stadia will be released this year 2019, and when I know more and tried it out for myself, I will give you an update.
